Description of lesson: Students will start exploring the events of WWII. They will do beginning research about the Holocaust and create a timeline of the events. Students will practice reading and comprehension when looking for the information about the Holocaust and WWII. This is just an introduction to get the students thinking about the events of WWII.

Assignment: Students will create a time line using the time liner software; this will be done during class. The webspiration tool will be used to brainstorm the student’s ideas and events that they will choose to use in their timeline.

The technology used in this lesson changes the teaching / learning in this way: This technology will give students a way to create a timeline that they will be able to edit throughout the unit and will give them a final project that they have gained an understanding of the events that happened during WWII. With technology the projects created will have real life photos of events that happened during the time period.
